Electra expands its top management

Dec 6, 2021

As its recent €15 million fundraising opens up new horizons, Electra is shaping its organisation by announcing the recruitment of three new specialists in finance, ecological transition and communication. The objective is for Aurélien de Meaux, CEO of Electra, to be surrounded by managers with a high level of expertise in their respective fields so as to support the company's rapid development. * Elise Erbs, formerly at Weinberg Capital Partners and Mercialys, has been hired as the Chief financial officer

  • Cédric Herment, formerly at Cabinet de Barbara Pompili, has been hired as the Chief development officer

  • Samira Chakkaf Andalouci, formerly at SNCF and an entrepreneur, has been hired as the Head of Communication

Cédric Herment, 30 years old, expert in energy transition

After graduating from Ecole Polytechnique and Mines ParisTech, Cédric began his career in electric mobility as a Project Manager at Renault, the pioneering manufacturer of electric mobility in France. He then put his expertise at the service of Polyconseil, a consulting firm in charge of developing the Autolib information system.

He joined the French Ministry of Ecological Transition where he performed management functions in the field of industrial and natural risk prevention for nearly three years. In 2019, Cédric joined the cabinet of Elisabeth Borne, the French Minister of Ecological Transition and Solidarity. He then joined Barbara Pompili's cabinet in the same ministry, where he worked on improving air quality in French urban areas, in particular by building the regulatory framework for low emission zones.

Élise Erbs, 37, specialist in investment and finance

After graduating from EDHEC Business School, Élise started her career in 2008 as an Associate in Asset Management/Finance at Morgan Stanley, where she managed the accounting and financial aspects of investment companies. She then moved on to become Deputy Chief Financial Officer at Mercialys, where she was responsible for developing relations with the various investors and overseeing issues related to budgeting/reporting, CSR, legal matters and management control.

Élise then became Senior Manager in Transaction Services (Real Estate & Hospitality) at PwC France before joining the BMF group as Head of Investment and Finance. This allowed her to deepen her expertise in platform structuring, financial analysis, fundraising/debt raising and financial communication. From November 2018 to October 2021, she was the COO of real estate funds at Weinberg Capital Partners.

Samira Chakkaf Andalouci, 48, expert in institutional communication

Trained as a lawyer and with a master's degree in international relations, Samira Chakkaf Andalouci began her career in 1998 at the Moroccan Embassy in France as an attaché in the political department before taking over the management of press relations.

She quickly turned to the digital world, working in agencies and with advertisers to promote the first French start-ups before joining the Voyages-sncf.com (Oui.Sncf) team in 2004 to manage communication and CSR. For 6 years, she and her teams worked on a number of projects that contributed to the development of France's leading e-commerce site. In 2010, she launched Pepper Menthe Communication, a firm specialised in institutional communication, putting her expertise at the service of major accounts and start-ups in all sectors, with such references as Klépierre, Emirates, Keolis, Direct Energie, Sncf and Artefact.

Aurélien de Meaux, CEO Electra, explains: “We put operational excellence at the heart of our offer, with a team of experts from all sectors. Our highly ambitious project is supported by a team of nearly 30 experts, motivated and excited to work on a daily basis on a project with a real impact on society and a fast-changing market. Elise, Samira and Cédric's strong complementary skills will allow us to develop the company and our projects with peace of mind and even faster”.

About Electra

Electra offers ultra-fast and ultra-simple charging hubs for electric vehicles. Supported by some thirty expert employees, the company invests heavily in innovation and research to ensure an optimal user experience: informative, intuitive and customisable mobile interfaces so that car parks become a truly practical service area for visitors.

Co-founded in 2021 by Aurélien de Meaux, Augustin Derville and Julien Belliato, the company raised €15 million in June 2021, with the goal of eliminating all barriers to switching to electric vehicles by deploying the most efficient network of hubs in France.  This round of financing, the largest SEED fundraising of 2021, was carried out with Serena, Eurazeo and Frst Venture. It is also sponsored by several Business Angels from the energy, mobility and real estate sectors.
