Jardiland chooses Electra to equip its shops with more than 300 fast charging points for electric vehicles

Jul 11, 2022

Jardiland, France's leading garden centre*, has signed an agreement with Electra, a major player in the field of fast charging for electric vehicles, to equip 31 sites (300 charging points). Deployment will be gradual until the end of 2024 in the main French cities. A high added-value service for customers and visitors to Jardiland shops

Electra will install and operate 300 ultra-fast charging points (150 to 300 kW) that will allow motorists to charge up to 300 km in just 15 to 18 minutes. They will also be able to benefit from a simplified recharging experience: booking the point remotely and paying via the Electra app, a recharging pass or a bank card. All this at a competitive and unique price of €0.44/kWh including VAT.

More traffic and additional revenue for shops

The installation of these 300 charge points is strategic for the company as they will be accessible to all and will generate additional traffic in the shops. Electra will enable Jardiland to launch marketing campaigns (package deals, promotional codes, sponsorships, etc.) that will help build loyalty and attract new customers.

Deployment of the InVivo Retail Group's CSR strategy

For InVivo Retail, this partnership is a performance lever and an innovation driver for the organisation and its partners. It is in line with the fundamental commitments of the Group's CSR policy, in particular its desire to design and develop offers with a positive impact. More generally, this partnership reinforces the mobilisation against CO2 emissions from transport and the reduction of fine particles and nitrogen dioxide emissions in the main French urban areas. This commitment also aims to facilitate the implementation of low-emission zones in all urban areas with more than 150,000 inhabitants following the adoption of the Climate and Resilience Act.

"We are delighted with this partnership, which is in line with our CSR strategy and which will enable us to accelerate our efforts in the field of new mobility. Equipping 31 Jardiland shops with ultra-fast charging points by 2024 will also be a fine demonstration of our desire to provide our customers with even more high value-added services", emphasises Vincent Avignon, Deputy Managing Director of InVivo Retail.

"We are delighted with this strategic partnership with a major player such as Jardiland. It will make it easier for thousands of electromobilists to find a fast and reliable recharging point and enjoy a moment of pleasure around gardening and pet shops. This agreement also allows us to establish ourselves even more firmly in the commercial areas of major cities", adds Aurélien de Meaux, CEO of Electra
